From the 25 different boards and commissions we air, we covered 332 meetings. And the hours added up…
Those meetings totaled up to be over 390 hours.
The longest meeting was a Burleigh County Commission meeting on September 15th, lasting 4 hours and 58 minutes. The shortest was the March 4th meeting of the Bismarck-Burleigh Joint Commissions. It wasn’t even 10 minutes long (9 minutes and 55 seconds).

We were there to breakdown some of these meetings into what citizens need to know.
Alongside 37 episodes of City Current, Bismarck Insights also aired 22 episodes.
Big Items:
- City of Bismarck and Burleigh County’s dispute over the Extra Territorial Area (ETA)
- Mandan’s Memorial Highway Construction Project
- Separation of Auditor/Treasurer position for Burleigh County
Community Programs
Miss a concert? Or want to see more local talent?
We wanted to get out into the community more this year and were happy to be there to capture 3 concerts from local groups, which were among the 8 concerts we were able to air on our Community Access channel.

Education and arts were our focus for new programs. Along with our new regular programs, we were also able to record 3 special educational programs centered toward the interests of North Dakotans.
New producers, new partnerships!
In 2025, we started 2 new programs in our studio, produced by community members. Nodakian After Hours is a bi-weekly program with a late-night flair. In Tune with BMSO takes us behind-the-music with Dr. Beverly Everett and her guest musicians.
With these programs and several concerts, performances, guest speakers, and more, we were happy to create new partnerships and strengthen old ones with the Bismarck Mandan Symphony Orchestra, Dakota Pro Musica, AARP North Dakota, ND Monitor and Dakota West Arts Council.
We are looking forward to continuing our work with these partners in 2026, as well as develop new relationships to bring you relevant and reliable programming!

Debuts and Milestones
Several of our producers will be hitting very significant milestones this year, including several 100th episodes and one producer approaching 500!!!
We also have been starting a staff picks playlist show to play share some of our favorite tunes with you. Catch that on Thursday’s at 1pm on Radio Access 102.5FM.
