Kickoff the football season with 70Won Sportscast!
This podcast is only 3 episodes in, but they are right on time for the football season. 70Won Sportscast is a podcast that focuses on the games, scores and stories of North Dakota.
“We had so many fun stories and Scott kept bringing up all these North Dakotans who were doing big things. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Once we discovered the access available through DMA, we jumped at the chance to share our stories.”
-Mike Chaussee
Mike Chaussee and Scott Ritter both grew up in Bismarck/Mandan and “wouldn’t want it any other way.” They both graduated from the University of Mary, though at different times.
And the focus is on North Dakota! Though the state doesn’t boast the big leagues, Mike and Scott are here to teach us all about how talent is homegrown, even in ND.
Their next episode, dropping today (Sept. 2) at 3:30pm, features Weston Dressler, a Bismarck native and Canadian Football Hall of Famer. It is their first interview and they hope to do more in the future.

With only 3 episodes on the air so far, they are “start(ing) to get the hang of it during Episode 3. Things have a better flow.” When asked about their favorite parts of podcasting so far, they said “the research is a blast, giving me a reason to discover in detail so many things I had heard about in passing but hadn’t dug into.”
But they also have really been enjoying the feed back from the listeners! Episode 3, Coach, came about from their first listener email!
“Probably the highlight, is the stories and conversations it’s generating with the people kind enough to listen. Everyone we talk to about it has their own connection or memory to share. And we get all sorts of suggestions about things to talk about on the sportscast. “
