Mikiel’s former life as an educator in junior high through college teaching social and behavioral sciences, biology, and English with all its components. Her interest in volunteering with Community Access is to learn and work with the video component.
She enjoys traveling to places with white beaches, lots of waves and good snorkling areas. Trips to cross-country skiing venues ranks high when North Dakota lacks snow. Gardening is her summer love and designed a flower garden for their son in Minnetonka, which she enjoys tweaking every year.
Mikiel has lived in North Dakota for sixty some years and so far hasn’t been any place she’d rather call home. She has easy access to their children and grandchildren in Ohio and Minnesota.
The rest of her time is spent reading, golfing, writing, and sitting on the deck watching the grass grow and the leaves twirling in the wind.
Little known fact about Mikiel:
