Dr. Daphne Ghorbani, educator and world traveler, has hosted arTView. Daphne is presently serving as an assistant professor of education at the University of Mary. Previously she taught at St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota; Iranzamin School in Tehran, Iran; Tongue River High School in Dayton, Wyoming; and Wolf Point Junior High School in Wolf Point, Montana. Over 3800 students have been educated in her classroom. Daphne hails from Beach, ND, and earned a BS in English Education from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Daphne also studied at Royal Holloway College in England and was a Fulbright fellow in Pakistan. Daphne is a voracious reader, a lover of theatre, art and dance. She recently earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Dakota.
Little Known Facts about Daphne:
– Was one of the first women in Wyoming to subscribe to Ms. Magazine and has a personal note from Gloria Steinem to show for it.
– Learned sign language as a child as her father’s parents, who were graduates of Gallaudet College, were both profoundly deaf.
– Daphne just renewed her teaching license for the sixth time.
